Requintolele (Mexoid) – an all Mahogany Bruno baritone uke given me by Chipper Thompson several years ago. Stephen Owsley Smith kindly glued the choice mother-of-bowling ball pickguard as a “surprise.” I replaced the old metal friction tuners with Ebony viola pegs. Comes close to approximating the sound of the real thing until I can get one made in Mexico. Restrung and tuned like a requinto Jarocho: G3A3d4g4 and played with a long thin pick made out of a cut-down plastic comb. |
